Increasing youth awareness about the European Union and the opportunities offered through EU funding

The project aims to strengthen the capacities of young people and youth structures (youth councils, informal groups, and youth organizations) to effectively benefit from EU funding opportunities and to foster their involvement in the dialogue around the European integration process.

To achieve this, the project will intervene through two main objectives:
Objective 1: Increase the knowledge and capacities of young people/youth groups regarding EU-related programs to enable access to and benefit from EU funding opportunities, networking, and partnerships.
Objective 2: Encourage the participation of young people and youth organizations in the EU integration process.

The project seeks to support Albanian youth and youth organizations in absorbing EU funds and engaging them in the dialogue around European Integration. In this context, the project aligns with the overall objective of the current call for proposals under Tirana European Youth Capital, contributing specifically to the program pillars Youth Develops Capacities and Youth is European.
• Capacity-building training for young people, informal youth groups, and youth organizations on applying for EU funds
• A study on youth awareness and involvement in the European Integration Process
• Publication of an informative manual (Toolkit) on EU programs and financial instruments dedicated to youth
• Development of an online E-learning module
• Organization of a study visit to Thessaloniki (former European Youth Capital in 2014)
• Organization of a forum titled “Europe and the Voice of Youth”

Achieved Results:
• 3 two-day training sessions on EU funding opportunities
• 90 young people representing youth groups, activists, and organization members trained and empowered in EU project application
• 15 youth participants in the study visit
• Over 1,000 young people from three cities deepened their knowledge of the European Integration process and EU programs
• 1 study on youth involvement in the European Integration process
• 1 informative manual on EU programmatic and funding instruments for youth
• 3 animated videos presenting EU programs
• 3 forums organized to promote youth involvement in the European Integration process
• 100 youth engaged in discussions on their involvement on the EU integration process
